This is considered the first formal women's benevolent society of Adath Israel. The charter measures 11.5" x 14.5". A companion piece, a silver presentation bowl presented to President Johanna Davis on July 24, 1880, is also noted. The charter was displayed at a Library of Congress exhibit in Cincinnati in 2005.
