Plumb, who is in New Orleans with jewelry. Baldwin was a partner in Taylor, Baldwin and Co. in Newark, NJ before moving to New Orleans in 1842, remaining there until at least 1853. He is known to have purchased much of his silver from New Jersey and New York producers.
