The biographies include Madame Roland, Mary Wollstonecraft Godwin, Mary Shelley, George Sand, Harriet Martineau, Frances Wright D'Arusmont, Emma Martin, Margaret Reynolds Chappellsmith, Ernestine L. Rose, Frances Power Cobbe, and George Eliot (Marian Evans Lewes). This work, originally published by Somerby before its acquisition by The Truth Seeker Company, contains a significant biographical account of Ernestine Rose (pp. 255-281). It is considered extremely rare due to a lack of subsequent reprints.
