An eight by nine and a half inch, four-page letter written circa 1840 by Sarah Ann Minis (Sally) Hays to her mother-in-law, Richa Gratz Hays, sent by train. The letter contains personal family details. Her children, Frank and Henrietta, also added notes to their grandmother. Richa Gratz Hays was the sister of Rebecca Gratz.
