The program featured Jules Levy, a renowned cornetist, performing four pieces. Following the musical program, Hon. Henry George delivered a speech on "The Single Tax Question". Jules Levy (April 24, 1838 - November 28, 1903) was a cornetist, teacher, and composer born in London, England. He immigrated to the United States and had a significant musical career as a cornet soloist. He is considered arguably the first cornetist to be recorded, participating in an early demonstration of Thomas Edison's phonograph and later recording commercially for Victor and Columbia Records.
