Newspaper advertisement from the *New York Journal and Patriotic Register*, March 28, 1792, featuring two advertisements by Simon Nathan offering his auction services. One advertisement is in English, and the other is in French. Nathan, a well-known merchant involved in a commercial dispute with Thomas Jefferson, also advertises books and stationery. This is noted as being the advertisement of the first Jewish book dealer in the USA. The advertisement appears on page 4, column 2.

Two contiguous ledgers (A and B) documenting the transactions of Wright & Young, a New York City textile firm, from July 6, 1757, to July 15, 1760. Ledger A comprises pages 1-388, and Ledger B, pages 389-496. These folio-sized ledgers, bound in original reversed calf covers, offer detailed records of the firm's business, including sales of textiles and sundries, shipping transactions to various locations (Jamaica, St. Domingo, North Carolina, Honduras, Bristol, and London), and financial entries for bonds and bills of exchange. A significant portion of the records (approximately 257 pages) detail transactions with at least 40 Jewish merchants in New York City, New Haven, Albany, and Fishkill. The ledgers provide invaluable insight into the early textile trade and the activities of early Jewish merchants in New York. While Ledger A does not explicitly name the firm, Ledger B features the initials 'W&Y' and mentions Daniel Wright and John Young.

Legal document detailing the inventory of the estate of Abraham De Lucena, prepared on March 24, 1726, in New York City. The document, sworn to by Rachel De Lucena, the widow, includes a list of household goods and slaves, and notes a debt owed by Moses Benjamin. It was authenticated by the Royal Governor of New York, William Burnet, and the Mayor, Robert Lurting, acting as appraiser. This inventory is part of the Deanne and Arnold Kaplan Collection of Early American Judaica.
