Letter dated February 15, 1857, from Simon Noah, Assistant Secretary of Congregation Bnai Israel in Philadelphia, to Isaac Leeser. The letter conveys the congregation's unanimous vote of thanks to Leeser for his assistance and sermons, particularly his address at the synagogue's consecration. The congregation granted Leeser a lifetime seat and membership privileges as a token of their appreciation. A postscript encourages Leeser to enhance the tribute to further his reputation.
