This trade card for Newman & Levinson, located at 129 Kearny Street in San Francisco, advertises them as successors to Buyer & Reich and as importers and dealers in "Berlin Zephyrs, German Yarns, Canvas, Hosiery, Laces, Chenille, Embroidery, Fancy Goods, Floss, Beads, White Goods, Trimmings, Etc." They also specialized in "Kid Gloves" and offered "Gilt and Silver Trimmings for Theatrical and Society Purposes," as well as "Stamping of all kinds." The recto of the card features an oval illustration of a young couple seated on a bench by the seaside at night, reading a book under a "Full Moon," with a sailboat on the water and a lighthouse in the distance.
