Shows the "line of defense against the Negroes in revolt" in Suriname and the Jewish settlement of Jodensavanne. Published in Paris as part of the atlas accompanying Guillaume-Thomas François Raynal's Histoire philosophique et politique, des établissements et du commerce des européens dans les deux Indes.
