Petition of Judah and Charles H. Saunders for Refund of Duties on Liquor Destroyed by Fire, January 2, 1817


This document is a four-page petition dated January 2, 1817, from Judah and Charles H. Saunders to the United States Congress, requesting a refund of duties paid on liquor that was subsequently destroyed by fire. The petition was read and ordered to lie on the table.
