Manuscript Translation of a Letter by Dr. Aaron Gunzburg to Isaac Leeser, 1846
Manuscript translation, in the hand of Isaac Leeser, of a letter written by Dr. Aaron Gunzburg from Prague, Austrian Empire (present-day Czech Republic), dated 1846. The letter discusses the acceptance of proselytes. This 10" x 8" page contains the translation on both sides. The collection also includes a fragment of a subsequent letter from Gunzburg to Leeser dated November 2, 1855. The manuscript was found with other Leeser papers and verified by Dr. Arthur Kiron and Bruce Nielsen at the Katz Center of the University of Pennsylvania.
