Letter from Zalma Rehine to Isaac Leeser, November 3, 1835

Zalma Rehine (1757-1847) was a significant figure in Isaac Leeser's life; he was one of the founders of the Richmond Light Infantry Militia Unit in 1793, and in 1829, he organized the first Jewish communal religious service in Baltimore, which led to the formation of the city's first congregation.
