This pamphlet includes a list of committee members and members of the society. The Occident, a Jewish periodical, noted the society's formation in January 1844 and its incorporation in June 1846. According to the donor, this is the first constitution and no other copy is known to exist. The pamphlet bears the blue oval stamp of the Leeser Library Hebrew Education Society.
