GAR Membership Certificate - Of William Tinsley who enlisted into this largely Jewish regiment, Company F of the Cameron Dragoon on August 10, 1861....His Commanding Officer, the Jewish immigrant Max Friedman The collection also hold his enlistment certificate, signed by Col. Friedman, a Union Army Group Photo (May be GAR) photograph with William Tinsley...... and his Folk Art record of his military history. This Certificate notes that he began service as a Corporal in Company F of the 5th Penna. Calvary...the is Col. Max Friedman's Cameron Dragoons. He joined the GAR on 4/7/1879.
