CVD -Bust of woman….B & G Moses full ad on back…this is from a family of New Orleans, Louisiana photographers founded by Samuel Moses...his sons were...Bernard, Edward, Gustave, Louis.....circa 1870....."History of the Jews of Louisiana - Goldberg Cohen Family....Mr. Moses is the senior member of G. Moses & Sons, ranking- among- the most successful and artistic photographers in the country. Theirs is the oldest g-allergy here, and they have received many special awards, gold medals among- them, at the photographers conventions for their work in general, miniature and other special branches of portraiture. So loni;- and successfully indeed, has Mr. Moses been in intimate relations with the people of New Orleans and its visitors, as to be almost a public character. Three generations of this family have been engaged in this profession. Mr. Moses' son. Will, is the third. His g-rand-father. the late S. Moses, the father of G Moses, who founded the business, was one of the American pioneers in the art of photography. Mr. Moses himself was instructed in his earlier years in the mysteries of the daguerreotype. The son is an artist as photographer and is a writer on photography as well. They are representatives both, certainly, in the full meaning of the term of a profession which their family has done much to advance.
