Scrapbook - Grouping for Reverend William Hofstadter, a local Pittsburgh Jewish leader who once held the position of Reverend Reader of the Congregation of Jews from Czechoslovakia in London, and a mohel able to perform circumcisions. The grouping includes typed and written letters from 1934-1950, photographs, programs from services, and a copy of a circumcision certificate. One letter is dated 22nd October, 1946 summarizing the community service that Hofstadter did during the war and signed by Rabbi H.Stranksy. Another letter is dated 10th May, 1945, and is from the Senior Jewish Chaplain to the Czechoslovakia Army & Air Force in Great Britain thanking Hofstadter for the help he gave in the war. The album contains 12 letters and 21 photographs.
